Blatant Ad: De Soto's Compression Recovery Sock - Free Shipping

You are hearing it now:

YOU WILL NEVER SEE ME RACING OR TRAINING IN COMPRESSION SOCKS, SORRY. I WEAR THEM FOR RECOVERY.

This is why we call them Compression Recovery Socks. I wear them anytime I take an airplane flight. I have worn them in my last 4 surgeries - broken fibula reconstruction, emergency appendectomy, medial meniscectomy, shoulder reconstruction. Our Compression Recovery Socks work.

If you wear them to race or train in, fine.

Like every other company selling recovery socks, we do not make our socks, but rather work with a factory that has hosiery equipment to loom socks. The factory I use has a patent for their graduated compression technology. We will soon have available upon request the following:

  1. Patent Information
  2. Compression Rating by Independent Source
  3. Letters by Medical doctors stating effectiveness of compression on recovery.

NOW AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE SHIPPING!

De Soto Compression Recovery Sock - Patented graduated compression offers improved oxygen delivery to muscles, reduces lactic acid production, reduced foot and leg swelling, extra smooth toe seam, latex free, made with antibacterial Silver Drystat™, 100% recyclable. Compression rating 11-16.6 mmHg. Currently being tested for UVB rating.

I think they would be fine for racing. I speaking of the Underpants run of course!!!..And they might make a nice ensamble for the Euros in Hawaii, you know when they go out to dinner in their speedos…(-;

That is the problem with us old guys, we try and buck fashion trends, but when the shit actually works, then what are you going to do? I’ll take a pair, but I will be sleeping in them with the lights off. When it comes to recovery, I need every edge I can get these days…

ANd I suppose next, I will have to get one of the fancy swimming suits too, when is this madness going to stop!! I fell like an old man yelling at kids to get off my lawn now, time to revaulate my situation I suppose…

Emilio. What about sizing? They come in S/M/L.

I’m 6’-1" and 175, so on the cusp of M or L based on your charts. But for compression I am not sure about going with the L as I do not want to decrease the compression.

For my Zoot ones, I am wearing a size 4 on their charts. The socks from them seem to be appropriate levels for me. Any ideas? Should I go with the M in yours??

(And yes, I have another window open with the link ready to order … you know how much I love your stuff!)

OK, the sizing info chart doesn’t help much. It doesn’t talk about shoe sizes. What do “small”, “medium”, and “large” really mean for these things?

Sooo you’re asking him to manufacture some special compression “recovery underwear”? Nevermind…I don’t want to know.

Looks like they are adding shoe sizes to their drop downs…

Yup, shoe sizes added. Looks like I’m going with a L.

Emilio, based on the logo on the bottom of the sock is this the same product as this, http://recoverysock.com/, just with the DeSoto logo?

I’ve tried and was unimpressed with Recovery Sock that’s why I ask.

Don’t forget about the above the water recovery for breaststroke as well as the single dolphin kick off the wall you get now as well now too. I dunno. You are going to be a changed man…

Emilio, your next project is a pair of compression wraps for thighs, or a pair of compression shorts. My thighs take a lot more pounding in long races than do my calves, and I am as big a fan of your products as anybody. That said, help a brother out, huh?

SWEET! as DeSoto is one of the presenting sponsors, will any of the vendors at the Santa Barbara Tri this weekend have them or does an eager customer have to buy them online?

Good question and right now we have them based on foot size, but if you are on the cusp, I would go to the smaller size…and I love you for loving our products!

Well, we can try…where do you live? Send me by email your shipping address, I will check price and see if we can do it free for you…is that fair?

Thanks for pointing that out. I have made corrections and now this is shown on the site.

Well … I already ordered the “L” Emilio … should be going through processing I would guess.

I’ll give the L a shot. If they are to “loose” I’ll swap them out if possible. I think I’ll be okay though. I wear the L in all your other stuff.

We have compression shorts! We were the first triathlon company to make a compression short back in 1998. Check out all of our Forza Tri Shorts and Forza Tri Suits. The Forza Compressor fabric offers you what you need!

Que Tal Hermano!

I will be missing Santa Barbara Triathlon this year for the first time in over a decade. My shoulder surgery recovery has been slow and painful. I just have to be patient and that includes being smart about when I race. Sorry to tell you that the socks just arrived here, so they will not be available in SB yet. Get in touch with me next week.

My checkout cart still has shipping. Will that be adjusted later?

Emilio,

I would take 2 pairs of large black if you had free shipping to Canada. FWIW, I use compression socks for air travel mostly as it seems to really help leg fatigue on longer trips.

thanks,

robert
