Bjarne Riis

New to the cycling thing and I’ve recently watched a documentary or two on CSC and articles. Is just me, or does Bjarne Riis appear to be the epitome of an inspiring, knowledgable coach? He just seems like a straight up good guy.

Mr. 60%. the domestique turned grand tour champ.

I’d love to ride for him. It’ll be interesting to see what he’s done with Basso over the winter. I’m hoping for a CSC sweep of the top 9 (LOL)

I’ve heard him called Mr. 60% before. Why is he called that?

his hematocrit.

Actually he was never called Mr. 60% in the peloton as some claims. He has never been tested with a 60% crit value either, it’s all a myth.

When the Festina scandal started one of their sougnieurs said all their riders had a crit value above fifty something and when they could still not win the tour, then the winner must have had a crit value of 60%.
It’s all speculation from a single Festina sougnieur, nothing more.

Now many thinks he was know under the name Mr. 60% in the peloton, but that’s a misunderstading.

You could say the same thing about Armstrong today, because when riders like Hamilton, Millar, Rumsas, etc. etc. took doping and still could not win, then Armstrong must take even more dope.

Bjarne Riis…DAMNED SEXY!

Though I’m still pissed at him for leaving Peron off the Tour team.

I would like to have seen Jakob Piil in the Tour team instead of Roberts.
