Ok, because I promised the Cali contingent that came out last week…
Had the birthday ride for Kevin of Tribe Multi this morning. Broke the previous record of 73 riders by over 50%, as we had 117 riders that officially left on time, plus a few stragglers that showed up late and went out on their own.
Up McDowell road to the Beeline highway, then out forever and back. I turned around early, as I was still having problems with cramping (Had that in the pool last night too), and two flats. Between the cramps and the embarrassment of having to be rescued, I made about 25 miles. The longest riders ended going 100+
Avg 18mpg out, 23 coming back, so I felt pretty good about the pace, though.
Kevin is a cool dude. After the ride a bunch of us gathered at Tribe, and he gave me my measurements and figured out what size frame I should be looking for.
A great bunch of people to ride with, and I must not have been too bad, they invited me back out for next Saturday’s ride.
