I’m looking for a comfortable, multipurpose, and waterproof sandal. I also need a solid arch support. I just wondering what brands have worked and not worked for you guys. birks, keens, chacos?
I love my Keen’s (H2 or H3 I believe), but I actually stopped wearing them due to lack of arch support. Birk’s have great arch support, but I haven’t owned a pair in 10 years and the last one’s I had were cork with leather uppers - so NOT waterproof.

I really like my keens for just the things you are looking for. Just wish they had more arch support.
I have had the same pair of Chaco’s for almost ten years and they look brand new. Major arch support as well!
+1 for chacos
I got my wife a pair of chacos like 5 years ago and she loves them. SO much so bought her a second pair from backcountry.com a few months back. They are a great company that makes a great product that they really stand behind their shoes. I think you can get them restrapped for free if they break at all. Im actually jealous and want a pair for myself now.
+1 for chaco’s. Bought mine last year and lived in them practically. Best arch support I’ve felt without an insole involved.
Anyone try both keen and chaco and notice a arch support difference?
I love my Keen’s, and I really like the company, too, but everytime I wear my Newports for an extended period of time, my arches complain and it feels very planar fascitis-like. In my Keen boots, I just throw in some superfeet, but you can’t do that with sandles. If you find something with good arch support, let us know!
