I just got a massage with IMFL coming up, and at the end the therapist asked if I wanted her to put biofreeze anywhere. “What’s Biofreeze?”, I asked innocently. It’s a cooling menthol gel, that cools for a couple of hours. She put some on my neck and calves. I can really feel it on the neck, a little less on the calves (because of the muscles, according to her).
This stuff seems pretty useful. In particular, has anyone ever though of sticking some in their T2 bag, and rubbing it on your legs before heading out on the run? It seems to me that it could really help, especially in a very hot race. I’m thinking about getting some and trying it in Florida.
Anyone ever done anything like this?
