Anyone know if Bikesport is open today or if they are just mega busy? I just rang the shop and got a recorded message which I have never heard before. I’m not sure if Tom is closed for the holidays, as I didn’t think Easter Monday was a public holiday stateside, or just mega busy.
Can anyone enlighten me, please?
We have been swamped all day. We’ve sold 6 bikes so far today. It is a nuthouse here.

Hey Tom–I was at my LBS about two weeks ago. A dad was there with his little girl geting her a bike for her birthday. She was walking it out the front door for a test ride. It was pink. She had her helmet on. It was pink. It was a little too big for her–you know, the grow-into-it thing. The look on this little girl’s face was indescribable–closest I can come is Christmas Morning, unashamed pride, joy, happiness, disbelief. You get to see that all the time, huh? No matter what we “get”, we’ll never have that for ourselves again.
I just bought my two boys (ages 10 and 7) new bikes a few weeks ago. I think I was as excited about going to the LBS to buy them as there were. Makes you feel like a kid again. Funny thing is they don’t know or care about groupos, wheelsets, tube shapes, etc. They just wanted a bike that looked “cool”! Guess we are all the same really…
