I’ve used BikeFlights several times last year and now that its 2019, I noticed they switched carriers from FedEx (generally) to UPS (or maybe only on certain routes or areas since last year it was ALL FedEx). Also, the prices have seemed to go up. Now it almost doesn’t beat taking your bike on the plane. Anyone else notice this or is it just me?
I noticed so I went to shipbikes.com.
I think bikeflights is still FedEx and so it shipbikes

I thought it was still Fedex as well, but i just quoted out a trip and it only gave me UPS rates…HMMMM. Going to check out ShipBikes. Thanks.
I used shipbikes.com last week when I purchased a bike case on Ebay.
I listed the case as 25 lbs, which is well over what it does weigh, and it was ~$55 from Texas to Michigan.
Bikeflights was $110

Yes, Bikeflights recently switched from FedEx to UPS. I hereby withdraw my past recommendations for Bikeflights…
