Bike / Tri store in Houston area?

I’ll be in the Houston area in a few weeks and was wondering if there are any good bike/tri shops in south Houston. Thanks.

Bikesport (bikesport.com) for some tri stuff
Boone’s (www.danielboonecycles.com) for one of Houston’s oldest shops

Lots of other shops around town but they don’t really have much character.

The guys at Tri on the Run are very good and the prices are spot on.

x2 on these, both good shops with personality

Also, maybe not what you’re looking for, but FYI there’s a Performance Bike at Westheimer & Voss (Hillcroft) and an REI across the street for biking accessories.

Tri on the Run and Bicycle World and Fitness

I’ll second that. Tri On The Run is great for picking up tri anything. Most knowledgeable staff in town when it comes to tri stuff. Bikes at Tri On The Run are somewhat limited because they do a lot of custom builds and ordering.

Bicycle World and Fitness is top notch for bike stuff but the staff isn’t nearly as tri knowledgeable. They do know bikes like nobody’s business though. I just ordered a new bike from them yesterday. Make sure to go to the new Bicycle World and Fitness store on Memorial near Dairy-Ashford and not the horrible store in West U.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had time to stop by there - nice shop and friendly staff. They had cool shop jerseys but none in my size - maybe next time.
