Bike Trainner

Looking into getting a bike Trainner. I want something that I am going to use, so don’t want to get a bog standard one. I’m based in New Zealand at the moment but probabaly moving back to Europe in July so want something that’s light enough to package up and send over. Budget is about $500 kiwi dollars and suggestions? If they are a bit more expensive would be willing to readjust my budget.

The Kurt Kinetic is a fantastic trainer, as much as one can be considering how awful they are for your brain. It is about $300 US, although I’d spend the extra for the heavier flywheel (6lb. vs 3lb.). The Kurt is leakproof, smooth, and consistent.

Kurt Kinetic fluid trainer.

They mite still be on sale @ www.tri-zone.com

agreed on the kurt

Love it.

But mine’s been squeaking lately. And the tire pressure is fine. You ever encounter this?

Not really, mine has been pretty solid so far.

Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. Great trainer, reasonable price (in your budget) for the quality. Relatively quiet, simple to use and fits 650 and 700 bikes without any adaptations. I just put a thicker book under the front tire of my 650 bike to level it out.

Computrainer is the best and is on my wish list. I will keep hammerring my KK road machine when I can’t get outdoors until I can affort the CT.

Mebbe I’ll call them
