How much pressure should the resistance roller place against your rear tire? Should there be a slight or significant indentation on the tire? Not sure if more pressure will cause damage to the tire.
Use enough pressure that the roller spins without the tire slipping. Quite a bit of pressue is applied by our own body weight, so I would worry too much about it.
In addition, I would recommend using an inexpensive tire when using your trainer. There will be wear, but I wouldn’t.

Thanks for your help.
Check out the instruction manual that came with your trainer. For over a year, I was using my trainer without enough tension on the tire. For my Cycleops Fluid 2, you need to rotate the knob 2 full turns once it makes contact with the tire. I put a piece of tape on the knob so I know exactly how far I turned it. If you don’t have your instructions manual, check the manufacturer’s website, as I’m sure it’ll be on there. Happy winter training!

I agree - I think the adjustable tension on the Fluid2 is more important than the tire pressure.
Anyone go to the Continental trainer tire? I’ve still got plenty of non-street worthy tires to put on my trainer.
