I just bought a new Michelin bike tire and it has a lot of little thin rubber pegs sticking out on the sides (about every inch). I can’t imagine these make the tire faster so I’m heading into the garage to pluck these babies off. Anyone else do this?

No, I’m riding with the tire 1-2 training rides before any race, then these pegs are off.
I leave them on to use as curb feelers. Let’s me know if I’m getting too close to the curb along the road.
