Bike Storage/Organzation / Garage Setup / Indoor Options

Looking for ideas on bike storage. My training room/spare bedroom is now being converted to a toyroom for the kiddos… The end result is that my Cervelo P3 that I prefer to keep indoors will likely get pushed to the garage.

Let’s see your garage set up!

Or…if you have a creative indoor setup I’d like to see that as well!

Thanks In Advance

Here my slice of heaven or as my wife calls it “The Store”.

Impressive!

I can take a picture tonight but mine hang on the wall and above my truck in the garage. I use the grey hooks you can get at Lowe’s and just hang the bikes by the wheels. The one I ride most leans against the wall. I’m about to get two more garage bays though so my setup is going to change

x2 on the simple road…not too exciting but it gets the job done. Would love to a garage stall to dedicate to the bikes and gear.

Mine’s pretty simple, the racks can swivel almost 180 degrees. It helps save space with 2 cars in the garage.

Domal - thanks! This might just do the trick!

What rack did you use? Shoot me a link when you are able.

Greatly appreciated

I bought them through my LBS, but I see they have them online also.
So far they have done the job for me.
Now all I need are more bikes to fill the entire wall!

Cool rack!

Agree- it’s hard to get everything somewhat organized in a two stall garage with two vehicles in it. Any other space saving ideas. Obviously one could use some sort of system to store the bikes off the ground but I’ve always wondered what kind of an effect that would have on the wheels etc.

very nice love the idea

xtremerun: I think you have more stuff in there my little LBS does. Well done!

I have a one car Garage, with a 2X4 bike rack in the middle for the 8 or so bikes the family has and then park on the street or driveway during the summer. In the winter I hang everything but 2 commuters on the wall with hooks, the commuters I lean against the wall since they get used daily, and the car fits.

I won’t be posting a picture it is pretty ugly but it works.

I use the Racor ceiling hooks:

You need some ceiling height for these to work, but I’ve been pleased with them.

I’ve posted this one before, but this is my current garage set up. The bike hooks are straight from Lowe’s.

The 4’ x 20’ mat serves as the workout space for my trainer setup.

Ha Ha Thanks! I’m a lucky man, a few of the bikes belong to my 10 time IM wife. Works out real well. I just have to buy 2 or more of everything.

All of my hooks come from lowes or Home Depot. Nothing special and I really doubt they are going to do anything to the wheels…at least I hope not. I did put a bunch of hooks in a row on a 2x4 to hang wheels from the ceiling but that is about the only “unique” storage I have.

I agree that likely won’t damage the wheels but something that I wondered about

What bike hooks are you using and where are you positioning them?
