Bike stolen!

On May 8, 2005 my car window was smashed in and my beloved bike was stolen. I was visiting a friend in San Francisco after competing in the Wildflower triathlon. I am training for Ironman Canada…now without a bike! Please be on the look out for this bike. It is a 2004 Cannondale Ironman 5000 triathlon bike, 50 cm, serial number N218907. It is a beautiful two toned blue frame with 650 Zipp 404s. Please do not attempt to BUY this bike. A police report was filed and not a lot of these bikes are around so you will be found- if not plagued with loads of bad cycling karma. Aid in this bike’s recovery will be appreciated and REWARDED.

Please respond to jmforier@hotmail.com or 702-812-2609 with info.

Bike thieves suck!

Note to self: Always cable lock bike to inside of car.

At one bike race last year, four or five bikes were stolen that were locked to the roof racks in San Francisco on a busy street. So it’s not safe in the city unless you can see it.

And, there has been a group of crack heads hitting cars, especially around the Presidio. Danielito knows this first hand, unfortunately.

If the bike was stolen May 8th, it’s probably long gone by now.

Sorry to hear about it. Hopefully the insurance will cover a replacement.

Post a pic
.

I had a road bike stolen as a teenager , I still dream of branding them with a hot iron ( bike thief - bike logo ) on their ass .

I saw a homeless guy riding a brand new Calfee down Market Street about 6 months ago with shopping bags full of cans hanging off the bars.

Don’t ever let your bike out of your sight in this town.

Check Craigslist.org in all the California metro areas. Bikes stolen in SF frequently make it to Davis and Sac, sometimes Santa Barbara or LA, depending on the ring. You will probably not find it in the Bay Area unless the thieves were amateurs.

So sorry to hear that! I’m sending you all the good vibes/karma that I can muster right now. I would be devastated.

Here goes … I’m really trying …

Now for the bike thieves … :frowning:
