Bike Selection Advice Please (Tom D?)

So I have decided to buy a new Litespeed Tuscany but am really stuck on size since I sort of fall in between. Only local shop that carries Litespeed just has a 55 in stock and amazingly that is the size they say I need. I have asked others I trust and they say get the 53. Seems like half the peple I ask say one size while others say the other. I think either will likely work but thought if you were in between you were supposed to go with the smaller size?

My measurements are:
Height: 175.25 cm (5’9")
Inseam: 80.01 cm
Trunk: 61.6 cm
Arm: 63.5 cm

I am stuck in analysis paralysis and can’t seem to decide. Appreciate any advice!

Mike

I’m not Tom, and being unfamiliar with the bike, I’d still guess that the 53 cm is more your size if Lightspeed is fairly standard in how they size their bikes. Tom should have a better idea of this.

Read over the info on this site and plug in your numbers. It might give ou more of an idea.

Thanks CG. I generally just worry about top tube so the 53 has a 54 TT and the 55 has a 55.5 top tube. I think the perfect bike for me is right in between.

I ran my numbers through the fit calculators on competitivecyclist.com and wrench science and they both generally say go with shorter TT length of the 53 but dang if two bike shop employees tell me to go with the 55. I really don’t know who to believe and it is driving me crazy.
