does anyone know a spot in portland where we could rent a road or tri bike for the weekend? my boyfriend is doing his first duathlon in bend and he’s been training away…on his mountain bike. i think he’ll have a great ride if he gives a roadie a try…any suggestions?

okay, hutch’s said they would rent him a burley steel frame. can anyone help me out here? hate to be stupid, but the only info i can find on burleys is recumbant, tandem, trailers and kids’ bikes. anything will be an improvement over his MTB, except maybe a recumbant…
you’re kidding me…I have a friend who rented a bianchi from them for pac crest a couple years ago.
in that case you could try Speedzone (formerly Gateway Bicycles) in Portland. I don’t know if or what they rent, but they do have a wide selection with some sweet bikes. http://www.gatewaybicycles.com/
