Bike rental in South Orange County--need advice

Going to be in Laguna Niguel starting the 21st and was hoping to rent a bike for the week (have had horrible experiences shipping and flying with my bikes). Planning on heading down to watch stage 8 of the TOC so I’d need to pick it up Saturday afternoon. I searched the archives and the last response was from a couple of years ago so I figured I’d post again to see if there are any more/new recs. Already called Ladera Cyclery and the apparently no longer rent (although I plan on stopping by to look around just because I’ve heard such good things about them). Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Edge Cyclesports in Laguna Woods, very close to where you’re staying.

Awesome. Thanks. It’s actually where I’m from and where my parents still live. Haven’t been out for a full week (have made a number of short trips but never long enough to do any riding) in over 6 years and haven’t ridden out there since I was big into it in 6th grade. I’m 35 now and live in Chicago. This is going to be awesome.

We’re moving back there next week after a few years in Colorado and Seattle…can’t keep the smile off my face : ) I was in Edge a few weeks ago and they seemed to have a pretty good selection of Cervelo, Ridley and Guru demo bikes, road and tri. Have fun and safe riding.

Unfortunately, Edge doesn’t rent. Ever heard of Revo Cyclery in Dana Point?

Yeah. I’ve been in there once, mid-ride for help with a repair. There’s also Laguna Beach Cyclery, TriBuys and Sand Canyon Cyclery in Irvine, and Jax and Rock N Road (mulitple locations). I have no idea if any of them rent but they are options near where you’re staying.

Sorry about Edge…I thought they rented.

Thanks for all the help Laguna Cyclery is renting me a Chorus equipped Solis. Can’t wait.
