Bike rental Houston or Galveston, Texas

Hi,

My wife and I will be racing at the Galveston half ironman on April 5th. A friend of ours who will be visiting from overseas, plans to race, and doesn’t want to fly with her bike.

Does anyone know of bike shops in Houston, Texas that rent road (or in the ideal world triathlon) bicycles? For the record she currently rides a Cervelo P2C size 51, but could fit up to a 53.

Thanks,
Robbie

I would try Bike Barn, they have 6 stores in the Houston area and are a top notch shop.

Robbie,

Does it have to be a tri bike? I have a 54’ Soloist Team that i could bring down, Im coming from Iowa though so I wont be down there till most likely saturday. let me know.

Could you maybe get the stack and reach of her current fit or maybe at least her saddle height and reach? I might have something…

From the Slowtwitch stack and reach table a P2C size 51 has Stack 48.2 and reach 40.5.

I’ll ask her to e-mail the length of stem she is using. Thanks

Thanks also Grant, maybe I can let you know. Still waiting for a reply from her - time zone difference as she is in Australia.

What size do they need? I live in Katy and my daughter has a specialized transition 2006 i think that was converted to a road bike but they can use that i think it’s a 51. She used it last year in her tri’s She’s 13

I hvae a 2008 P3 they can use too it’s a 58cm. Not been used… I just got it last season at the end.

Thanks for the kind replies.

My friends current bike measurements are below. The Transition could definitely work. The P3 would be too large in 58, but thank you for offering.

I’m e-mailing her now to try and get her feedback

I just looked at the bike… It’s a 49 .

If she can use it, then it’s available.
