Or SUV or cross-over SUV that can take 2 bikes inside.
Dry, clean, warm and safe.
Of course I am up here in the Great NorthWet, where a 60 mile roof rack trip is really a 1 hour pressure wash session with salt, dirt, oil and grit. In the dry parts of the world I might lean toward a set-up like the man with the Z-Car and Softride.
I love the look and idea of the Thule T2 but I’m not sure I can get one for my 1998 Honda Civic
Sure I can buy a 1.25" hitch for my car and it looks like it would fit but it’s only rated Class I (200 pounds). Thule’s website does not recommend the T2 for anything below class II (300 pounds).
Has anyone out there used this rack on a Honda Civic?
The only reason I consider it is that the weight load my bike (or two bikes) would put on the rack is still far below the maximum weight listed.
I beg to differ. I have a Saris Thelma and it’s awesome. It doesn’t touch the frame and the bike is firmly secured to the rack. I have used it every weekend for the last 6 months. Is also great for bricks as you can rack your bike very quick.
