I was originally going to just buy an entry level bike, and I was going to go with the cervelo P1, but after my first few races I decided that I would spend a little bit more and get a bike that I can ride for a long while and upgrade the other components and still have a competitive bike. I am looking for something around the 2000-2800 range, what would be your suggestions? My first and only thought so far has been the P2… Does anyone know of anywhere that is still selling 2008 P2C that they had left over?
I ride an Orbea Ora and love it. I got it for $1,900. I would suggest going to your LBS if they have Tri Bikes and find one you like that fits you. The new Giant looks great for the price.
I rode a Felt S32 for 6 years and upgraded a few parts a year. I’m normally in the top 10% of bike splits.
The P1 would be about the same level and would fit into what you are asking for.

What size are you? R & A Cycles has a 07 frame for $1400. Only one size at 61cm.
Why not just buy used? A lot of folks rarely ride their tri bikes so you might be able to find a gently used bike from last year that is exactly what you want.
