Was wondering if I could get some feedback on my positioning. I am usually in the top 3-5 of my age group(45-49) and also usually have one of the faster bike splits. My swimming sucks and I have worked all winter on it and not made any improvement. So with race season quickly approaching I am relooking my bike and run as areas to improve. Any thoughts/comments will be appreciated. Thanks.
Bob

Seat a bit high, other than that pretty good! Lower the seat and lose the spacers that are below the stem.
Thank you. So no spacers at all? Can I put the stem right down to the bottom?
Lowering the seat and removing the spacers will get you more or less in the same position.
you need a spacer between the stem and headset. I went to a machine shop and got a .25mm spacer for $.25 that I used on my old TT bike. Worked perfectly.
Can’t say more than anyone else has regarding your position…but my god that’s an ugly paint job!!! What you really need is some scarlet and gold and an eagle, globe, and anchor on that thing…Hooah!

Yea I hear ya;) I actually just had it painted a few months ago. Wanted to keep the memory of all the soldiers serving overseas that are not as fortunate as I am to be able to race and train.
I agree that your seat is possibly a little high but I haven’t measured it because it may be hard to guess where is your hip. Knee angle should be about 150-155 degrees. Do another photo, print and measure with a protractor. Put a piece of white tape over the greater trochanter of the hip and measure from there to mid knee to lateral malleolus of ankle. Your camera seems centered properly. You can get a very thin shim at the LBS for the bars.
If you’re doing that well on the bike splits you’re obviously not too far off the mark.
