Just got finished building up my Trek TTX 9.5 and was wondering if and what I should name it. What names do all of you have (if any) for your rides?

are you fat tuby middle aged guy with sweet bike?
are you huge body builder guy who cycles as an excuse to wear spandex and crushes dreams on any flat road guy?
are you skinny roadie guy who looks silly on a time trial bike?

I wish I looked that good in see-through white to be Tjorborn. I am 5’10’', 160lbs, new to tris, first tri bike live in the midwest. Brown hair blue eyes, great smile, like walks on the beach and sitting by a fire reading romance novels

do a few tris, do something terribly stupid or terribly awesome and use that as inspiration!
perfect advice, knowing me it won’t take more than one or two races to do something stupid enough to get a great name. Hopefully it will not include damaging the bike!

uhm, i normally introduce my bike as “my bike”. maybe i should start calling it “THE MACHINE BUT THE ENGINE IS WHERE IT’S AT?” 
I’ve never actually named my bikes.
But one of the guys I live with refers to my tri bike as “The Beast” whenever I take it out for a ride. Of course, he also finds it outrageous that anyone would pay over $500 for a bike, so anything remotely expensive is “beastly” in his opinion. 
I call mine ‘f#$ker’.

Cervélo P3C is Penny.
Giant TCR was Tammy.
The commuter (which is red) is Commie the Commuter.
tri bike: SpeedFin. My son’s name is Finley (hence the fin part. also it is a PX and has the fins on the stays). Speedfin represents my son’s love of running fast (he is currently 6.5yrs)
road bike: MaiTai. My son’s name is Maia (hence the Mai part). Mai Tai represents my 3yr old daughter love of climbing and being a bit feisty. Also the bike is pink to add to the daughter theme.
mountain bike: Reddie Freddie. Fred was the name I called my grandmother, and the bike is err… red. the bike is in memory of my grandmother. a mighty fine lady.
as you can see, i thought long and hard about the names. i spend a lot of time on them and it means a lot to me.
reddie freddie is due for replacement at the end of the year and the new 29er that will be the replacement will have my wife’s name in there somehow.
You should only name it after you have a race on it. That way you can truly get the feel of what you should call it.
Mine are Zebedee (road) and shadowfax (TT), I can’t remember what I called the crosser and my fixie is Dory.
Name it after something with similar colours.
