BIke mechanics: need help for hubby's christmas gift

He wants a new set of metric T-handled allen wrenches, the kind that have a rubberized coating over the single piece handle, rather than a plastic handle glued on the wrench, which tends to strip in the larger sizes. I was looking at the set from Park tools, but I can’t tell from the picture of description whether these fit the bill. Do you know? Also, he wants them to have a ball-like end, not straight, so you can get angles. He said in the navy they had a set made by a french company, beau- something, he couldn’t remember. Does anyone know about those? Any help appreciated.

bondhus makes the wrenches he wants

Wow. That’s really nice of you. I think you may be looking for the Pedro’s wrenches. They are pretty darn nice. Go to www.pedros.com and check it out.

My suggestion - go to Sears. They have great T- wrenches as well as Craftsman Bondus end allens…if they are ever stripped you get a free wrench…try that with Park tools. I bet I have got about 5 free 5mm T-Handle allens from Sears over the years as I strip mine out - a few 6mm too (pedal removal likes to strip these).

Thanks, guys. Great info, he’ll be a happy hubby.
