Bike Maintenance makes me hate cycling

And how’s a newcomer who never trued a wheel going to know that and know which spoke it is?

I am sorry, maybe I am stupid (I can build shelves / sheds and pretty handy with woodworking if that counts for anything), but I still struggle to true a wheel well, and maybe i am in the 99.9% who are below your skill level. But I think no one should be discouraged when they struggle to true a wheel and feel bad because others tell them it’s easy.

I still remember the first time I made a presentation (first job after college). I messed up and asked my manager for help “… it’s so easy if you don’t know what you did wrong, then I got nothing to say…” → Not long later, I started looking for new jobs believing I wasn’t cut out for the job, as I never know what’s the right thing to do when they are so “simple”. 20 years later I look back and I feel quite different. To me now, the job is something that I have internalized so much that I can do in my sleep, but I don’t think it is / was easy.

You keep strawmanning. It’s easy for anybody if you realize that you most likely only need to tighten one spoke. A spoke wrench and aero spoke holder are all the tools you need. If it’s more than that, then no… fixing it will be much more complicated and probably costly.
