Bike help/swimming facilities in San Jose, CA

My wife and I moved to San Jose a month ago and we have questions about training in the area. I know that threads about living in San Jose have appeared before, but I’m looking for help from the ST crowd for the following specific questions:
Which bike shops/mechanics would you suggest if I’m looking for someone to work on my bike. Specifically, I’m looking for a good, honest, and cheap mechanic in the area. I can do some basic wrench work, but I lack the time and tools to replace my cables, replace the bearing, overhaul my bike, etc. FYI, I own a Felt, a Cervelo, and a Trek.I’m also looking for places to swim and am entertaining the idea of joining a swim club/master’s group. Which swim centers would you recommend? I’ve been to the George Haines International Swim Center and the Almaden Valley Athletic Club, and was impressed with both. I prefer the 50m pool, but it’s also further from our place than AVAC. AVAC also comes with weight training facilities. I understand some high schools in the area offer Masters programs. I am also open to joining those. For your reference, we live in south San Jose, along Capitol Expressway and the 87.
Thanks in advance to all!

My mechanic lives in San Jose just off 85 at the Camden exit.

Do you have his contact information?

You will have to contact me directly to get his info. I would prefer not to post his phone number and address on a public forum.

Santa Clara Masters and Santa Clara International Swim Center. Awesome group. I trained with them when I was in town for two weeks in the winter. I highly recommend it if you are a good swimmer looking for a challenge…lots of former collegiate swimmers, which made me feel at home.

Stanford masters group is great too, but would be a bit of a drive.
