i am headed to watch IMLP in july. i am traveling from MN and do not want to have to fly my bike out with me to train while i am there, (i am training for a race in september). any idea of how i could get a bike to use for one long ride while i am out there. i contacted two of the bike shops in lake placid and only heard back from one shop. they only rent out road bikes. i currently ride a B2 felt and want to try to keep my geometry near the same as i am riding now so i don’t hurt myself. any ideas of what i can do? i am not even sure if i could get my own bike there. last time i flew out i took a very small shuttle plane (6 seats total) from boston to lake placid. i can’t imagine they could even fit a bike on that plane.
Either Just rent a road bike - the roads are the same, you’ll just be slower - or if it coincides with the race use tri bike transport as if you were racing and just do a training ride…
