Bike Fitting in DC Area

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Bonzai Bikes on the West side of the beltway (near Fairfax). Make sure to call ahead and schedule!

Ken Mierke at Fitness Concepts.

Very close to the beltway in VA.

2nd nod for Ken Mierke. Outranks a FIST fitter easily. http://www.evolutionrunning.com/coaches.htm

And a comment that Bonzai did a horrid job for me and for one other person. Clueless. The best LBS in the area is the Georgetown Pro Shop for all repair and maintenance work, even for tri bikes. Best customer service by far - and less expensive.

I second bicycle pro shop in Georgetown (good luck parking though) for good customer service and some great eye candy in there. No idea about their fitting. Same goes for Capitol Hill bikes - good people last I was there (it’s been a while).

A little outside DC, I have also heard good things about All American Bicycle Center in Damascus (although they sell both Trek AND Cervelo, so that’s probably a non-starter for a lot of people on this board…).

Eric has fit me on two bikes and the results have been excellent. He is very patient and will work closely with you to acheive a fit that meets your priorities (power vs aero vs comfort).

You can park at two unofficial locations. One is behind the Ukraine embassy flush against the building on Caddy’s Ally. The other - if you are quick - you can park in the empty lot next to the liquer store a few doors to the west of the pro shop. Just stick your head in and let them know you’re only there to pick up/drop off a bike.
