Bike Fitters -- Valgus Malalignment

I’ve got a significant valgus malalignment (knock knee) in my left leg. How do bike fitters deal with this? Any tips I might want to pursue when I have my bikes professionally re-fit over the next few months?

I have a similar concern, please keep me in the loop if you ever find anything out.

The common solution is shims between the shoe and cleat. The number of them will depend on the severity of your varus/valgus. The shims go by various names such as Lemond LeWedges, Big Meat, etc.

Using those 2 products, you should be able to get the angles you are looking for. I am slightly bowlegged and I use both products on my road and TT bike and they work great.

This is all intimidating it seems like you would have to pay top dollar to go to the sports doc who designed the specialized BG system in Colorado and do all that motion capture stuff and hours of trial and error with adjustments. My right knee tends top come hit the top tube at the top of the stroke and I have had various posterior lateral pains that have taken me off the bike. I’ve been miserable with the pain for over 4 months.
