Last summer I suffered from a bad case of tennis elbow (pain/weakness in the lower arm just below the elbow). Despite physio etc. I couldn’t shake it until late fall.
I rode spin classes all winter. Got back on my bike last week, elbow is getting sore again. Obviously it is the biek setup.
This is just a guess, but it may help. I’ve never fit someone with your condition, but I would try moving the elbow rest as far back as possible (if possible), ie. try and get it just about below your elbow. This will minimize the amount of torque produced in your elbow and should help out. I’m not really sure how stable this set up will feel when riding, so be cautious. It may look foolish, but I would only move the elbow rest that far back on the inured side. Try not to lean to the non injured side to compensate as this will only cause more problems down the road.
