Bike Fit, Bike Fitness, or Bike Form?

So I started out this year by finally investing in a TT/Tri bike. To do this, step one was a fitting. Based on the fit I bought a Felt B10 that was setup according to the fitting. Now, I have not had NEARLY as many bike miles as I wanted this spring. Between schedule & crappy weather it hasn’t happened. At Eagleman yesterday I could not stay in the aero position much. Basically a couple miles at a time but wound up riding most of it out of aero. (Bike was still way better than last year when I rode an ill-fitting, heavy road bike). Basically, my lower back gets uncomfortable. I suspect this is still fit? But not sure to start there and do some tweaking or if it is just a matter of fitness (saddle time) or form (how I’m riding in aero). From this board and talking to others it seems the aero position SHOULD be a bit more comfortable. Again, I’m new to the TT/Tri bike thing and only a couple years into cycling in general so advice from more experienced athletes appreciated. I’m not shy about spending more money on fit, but would be interested to hear opinions first.

If you admittedly can’t stay aero then there’s an issue with fit, flexibility, adaptation (lack of time in the saddle), etc.

I’ll have to work on some pics/ video.

you may have to start off riding in a more relaxed TT position for a while. As you adapt you can make small changes over time and become more aggresive in your position. You have to be comfortable though, no point being set up in an aero position when you cant stay in it. Start higher, stack those spacers etc. Saddle time in a comfortable ‘lowish’ position to start out with.
