Bike dates

anyone ever gone for a ride with the opposite sex as a way of getting to know em?

yup. had a mountain date bike with a girl i met the night before at a party. i decided to take her to my favorite trail that was about 1:15 minute drive. i went there quite often so i knew it really really well. well, i must have been flustered from the hot girl cause i missed a turn during the ride and next thing you know we’re at a dead end. so we ditched the bikes in the trees and ran up the mountain. cool chick. not many would have gone along with that (improvised) plan. we kinda dated for a while and then just became friends - she beat me in a duathlon months later! i always wondered what happened to her.

I got a date on a ride once! Shannon was her name. Great gal…until she dumped me. I guess she doesn;t like crack heads.

I picked up a girl on an old Schwinn tandem for a date. She wore a skirt. I told her to wear something she could hike in but noooooooo, stupid bitch didn’t listen. Ironic thing is that she was dating another fella at the same time as dating me. That dude and I became friends because of it and he introduced me to the girl that I am currently seeing. She’s the shit.

I was riding home from a 50 mile ride one day and I caught up to a lady with a beautiful Colnago. We talked as we rode, side by side, laughed and cried. At the end of the ride I asked her to marry me. She just laughed in my face and rode off into the sunset.

I’ve never seen her since. ;(

My riding partner took this gal on a bike ride as one of their first dates. They’ve been married over 15 years now and three kids. She still lets him ride.

I will never again date a woman who knows even the slightest bit about cycling or triathlon or swimming or any damn endurance sport. Bunch of nerds.

Stairmaster chicks rule!

My current love, and she is the ONE for lack or a better catch phrase, is a WWE wrestler. I know nothing of her sport and she knows nothing of mine. It’s fantastic! Plus, she’s 6’4" and can kick my ass.

pics or it aint true.

All the time - with my wife.

but you already know her. duh!

"but you already know her. duh! "

Well, sort of. Still a mystery to me in many ways.

Yep, my fiance. I helped her put her chain back one day and paced her back to the peleton. This led to a riding date, an undulating 100km, I had to see what she was made of. Treated her to Burger King afterwards for making it back. She has been glued to my back wheel for the past 3.5 years now.

Yeah, its a great way to find out if they are BS’ng about wanting to get into triathlon. I remember one girl that came to town and brought her bike along. Obviously, I was taking it easy…way easy, but all she could do was complain and make excuses. That was the end of that relationship.

I met another cutie a few years ago that had a flat, but didn’t have a 650 tube(she grabbed the wrong one). I still had my old Nishiki at the time, and so I had a tube, changed her tire, and we went out on a nice ride. She was good, but too religious for me…no match.

My last girlfriend liked triathlon ( I met her at a local triathlete club meeting), but she was also way too religious and way too democrat. We had good times, but our rides were few and far between. I would either ride my full suspension mtn bike and pull her along, or sometimes I would just do sprints and wait or come back to her. She complained about biking too. I thought she would get over it, but she never really “got” biking. The day she said she wanted to sell her bike to get a cruiser was the day I knew we were braking up(pun intended).

I’ve never seen her since. ;(

Story of my life…

i went out with a guy for a while after we did a training ride -90 miles and the next day we ran 10 miles in the hills. talk about boot camp since it was in like feb emerging from hibernation. he was way too old but we still train together. he kicks my ass on the run but can only beat me 2 min in a 40kTT. that was fun to do bricks and stuff for a while. too bad he thought leg shaving was gay

I bent this chick over my bike & banged her out. What a ride it was. The only thing was that I got a saddle sore from this “B” atch. That’s my story for a bike date…never again unless I wear my bike gloves next time. Need to stay covered.

My second date with my husband was a “bike” date. I was kind of nervous and trying to be cool and fell over at a stop sign when I forgot to clip out of my pedals. That was 7 years ago and we are happily married now. We still go on bike rides for our weekly date night, we’ll ride 15ish miles to a restaurant have a light dinner and ride home.
