Bike computer options

My garmin just died after 3 good years…we were such buds.
But, no $$$$ for a new $200+ computer…so, looking for something that will replace it (I don’t need GPS).

  1. Rear speed sensor (for indoor)
  2. Wireless
  3. Stem or bar mountable
  4. would be nice to have a light (not a must)
  5. would prefer to see at least speed/avg sp together or have it scroll.

I love my Cateye Double Wireless. Make sure you buy replacement batteries off of Ebay (less than $5 for 5, not 3.50 each at Target). Rear wheel speed sensor, wireless cadence too.

I’ll second the Cateye Double Wireless. About $100 to $110 for price.

Lets add HeartRate to the mix…Sigma Roxio 8.0 looks nice…others?
I know…HR adds some $$$$

Why don’t you just send the garmin back in to be refurbished?

x2

It was refurbed about 2yrs ago…and two buttons have fallen off…
Will Garmin refurb something that is 3yrs old and has been used (and shows it)?
Cost?

Cateye V2C (the new name for the double wireless).

I have 3 and they fit your bill perfectly.

Yes.

And $59 for a 201; $69 for 205 and 301; $79 for 305. (Those are good for both the regular Garmin and the Edge model of the same #) Flat fee for repairs.

I had my 301 refurbed last year. It came back like new. I got it when they first came out, it’s old.

Another vote for the cat eye double wireless.

Cateye V2C (the new name for the double wireless).

The V2C is like $40 more than the double wireless though.
