Bike cases Serfas v Ironcase?

I’m in the market to get a bike case. Several people have posted very positive things about the Trico Ironcase ($299 list), which are advertised on e-bay for $220 brand new + $35 for shipping: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=7295&item=3692574557&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW legit?

My LBS carries and has a Serfas case in stock, also $299 list, no discounts. I have a lot of loyalty towards the bike shop.

How do the two cases compare?

TIA.

Parke

I have a Trico Ironcase. My friend has the Serfas case. They’re both very, very similar (hard shell, two pieces with three pieces of foam in the middle).

I like his (the Serfas) buckles a little better. They’re easier and quicker to use than the belts that come with the Ironcase. For as little as I use the case though, it’s not that big of an issue.

They’ll both get the job done just fine.

We’ve sold both and I’ve used both and they are both quite good. I’m not much help to you. Either way you go you’ll be happy.

Good answers. Thanks to you both. I have a gem of a local bike shop (well, it’s a 45 minute drive one way to be honest), and I’d like to go with them if the cases are comparable. The money difference isn’t that great if I factor in the shipping.
