What’s a good bike case which accomodates a taller frame (56 cm) with an integrated seatpost? The clamshell ones aren’t tall enough.

This just might do it. I have one down in the basement. If you have a measurement from the top of your seatpost to the bottom of your bottom bracket I can see if it would fit.

.
You’re going to have to either remove the chainrings or the crankset to get your frame to fit in a hard shell case. The only other option would be a soft case as most of the hard cases are very similar in dimensions.
It’s 28" from the top of the seatpost to the bottom bracket. Thanks for checking!
If you get a velosafe, you can file down the foam block that the BB rests on to get even more clearance.
With the foam bottom bracket support wholly intact I measure approximately 26.5 inches in height. The foam block is approximately 3.5 inches tall. So if you file it down as Jordan suggests it could theoretically work. Since the integrated seatpost would be near the center of the bike box it would be in the weakest part of the box when UPS or FEDEX decides to put something on top of it so you might want to reinforce it with some sort of PVC support running vertically from the bottom of the carrier to the top. Hope this helps.
That’s a great idea, thanks! Now, who do you think has the best price on that type of case?
