Why does the bike buying season seem to start in December when most people won’t even be riding the new bikes until June races?
Because the new models are coming and out and it’s out with the old in with the new. Happens they same way with car buying season basically.
because at this time of the year a lot of people aren’t in the saddle much and they start thinking they need some"thing" that will make them faster. I spent two canadian winters on eBay shopping for the “things” that I thought would make me better. Three years into this sport and I finally realized that the only way to get faster is to get in the saddle more often. In most people’s cases they’ve got everything they need to be there best, they just don’t put in the work to get it done. Make sure your bike fits and ride a lot…it’ll make you a hell of a lot faster than that dimpled carbon water bottle will. sorry if this is a rant, training in the cold envokes rants in me.
Tell me about it, I just bought a P3C on closeout. Initially, I was going to go for a closeout P2C.

Ford(aka Ralphs) 70.3 March 31/ 07. In SoCal we have several races before June. Plus you need to get that new bike dialed in before the season starts.
Hogwash! A friend of a friend bought an aero water bottle and SWEARS that he is 10 mph faster now so it must be true!
