Anyone interested in purchasing a Bike Box Alan Travel Case? Only been used 2 times, it is like new. Color: Black. It’s a great travel case. Currently located in Charleston, SC, but willing to ship it.

I would like to get $500. The box retails for around $750, although they are hard to come by in the U.S. If you are in Charleston and want to take a look at it, shoot me a PM. I do think this box is the best hard case on the market - much better than the clam shell cases (and lighter, so it is easier to get the bike under 50lbs). Could you do me a huge favor and measure around the perimeter of the box? Need to see if it’s less than 108" so I can know whether I can ship it to myself at FPO addresses…

Ok, I measured it a couple of times at where I thought looked like the biggest area - it was 44 inches long and 10in wide at that part, so exactly 108inches. This box is odd shaped, so it is hard to tell where USPS would measure it - it is definitely much small in other areas of the box, so if they measured in the middle of the box, it would be fine.

That’s a pretty reasonable price on a very well-rated box. Unfortunately I literally just blew all of my free triathlon cash on some unexpected upgrades…someone made me a deal I couldn’t refuse and now I’m broke. Sorry.

Yes, but the better option is to take the stem off the steerer. That the position of the bars relative to the front of the stem is not changed.
