WOW! Did you see Blaine’s session w/ the doc??? He is 28 and was taking 8+ medications. After 3 weeks, he was off all of them. Then when the doc said the cost was $733,000 for the next 30 years for meds!!! DAMN! Now, multiply that times the total overweight population. Holy shit!!!

Where was Dan and his undisciplined pal during that temptation? I am sure the at-home dude would have eaten everything in sight, given that he’s been at the buffet eating fried chicken.
Why such a surprise? They only have one weigh in left until all the others come back. Joelle hasn’t exhibited any desire to be there so it is likely she’ll be below next week. So, the one team banded together and got rid of another threat. unfortunately, for all the positive vibe this season (sans Joelle) I think we are about to see the “game” being played and the tone will change. I would have voted for Damien betting that Joelle falls below again next week. Get past that and your partners are back.

I’m off American Idol but I can’t get away from the Biggest Loser…these people are really trying to do something great and change their life so it hooks me.

I am having a really, really hard time believing this show is not heavily staged. After watching what happened last season with Vicky and now this, I am not buying it. I think the show is heavily staged. I think it was set up for Joelle to stay to add drama. I think BL saw the incredible attention they got with Vicky last season and needed something similar here. Two much feel-good in the house. They needed to shake it up.

I just can’t agree with either one of those. Last week she had immunity and lost 1 pound. Worked hard all week. I thought she had it figured out last week. Then, she won it again this week, and maybe it was too much to throw 2 straight weigh-ins. Despite the feel-good nature in the house, don’t think for a minute they aren’t playing a game and trying to get their partners back, to save both their lives. To get her friend back on the ranch, she absolutely should be thinking tactically. Certainly did at the vote-off.

I saw some questionable editing/segments of the show that to me and my spouse create speculation of a lack of crediability.
Was this show improperly or purposely edited with the temptation challenge shown a week early - after Dan has actually been given the boot? It seems two shows were merged into one and then took a step backwards. I believe it is/was to keep Joelle around longer and within the “main attraction” context; while also extending Dan’s existence as a sentimental favorite. Having said that -
I believe Dan set himself up to be given the boot with his vote against Damien after everyone chose to keep Dan the week prior.
Also there was a few instances of inconsistency with Bob’s stay in Detroit. I believe I heard mention of three days, then 24 hrs then when he came back he claims to have be gone the whole week.
This is our first season of watching any show within the “reality genre” - and I am quickly losing interest due to what I consider the evident lack of credibility

Yeah, but, they knew. They new what the reaction would be, which is why they had Bob making all those comments about Vicky being the most manipulative person he had ever seen. They had all the cuts with the other contestants saying things like, “Vicky will rip your eyes out.” They staged the entire thing and took a little bit of a gamble that it would pay off. Then, when they found Joelle, they knew they had gold, so, they taped the same “drama” with her. When they saw the success with the Vicky drama, they aired the cuts of Joelle.
I guarantee you they were waiting to see how Vicky played out with America before they made the decision to air all that footage of Joelle in Detroit.
I fully expect manipulations on the part of the producers but ultimately you can’t fake losing 100+ pounds and you can’t fake how much they are suffering in their workouts. They get their asses kicked while they are on campus.
I wonder if next week they’ll show some of the discussion that went on amongst Jillian’s team prior to the vote, I’m curious as to who the strategist is. Regardless, as others have said, it will cause some tension in the house and all the nicey-nice vibes are out the window.
Joelle clearly doesn’t want to be there but maybe they’ll keep her on out of pure spite!

Yup, why can’t guys admit they love the BL? Mine fights it every week and gets sucked in like a Hoover of full power. I think the overplayed drama of the weigh-ins and contest are a big turn off. That show only has 60-90 minutes of real material each week and they just draggggggg it out, which drives me, him and everyone nuts.
