Anybody see the biggest loser? I just caught the winner on the today show and Holy Crap! I can’t believe that in only 9 months that guy lost 214 lbs. Good for him. It just goes to show what the proper motivation and direction can do.
Hopefully he won’t gain 250 lbs in the next 12 months. Unfortunately a lot of these persons don’t keep the weight off.
I watched it. Actually, I was shocked that the winner weighed 193 or so. To my eyes, he looked more like 170ish!
I don’t watch this program much but did enjoy it over the last few weeks.
I like that show. If for no other reason, it motivates me to get off my bum.
I saw some of that show. That was pretty amazing. Those people are so connected in ways that you only see when people go through those kinds of life-changing events. I think that show could be such an inspiration for others. All I can say is, “WOW!”

I didn’t watch any of the rest of the season but I saw the finale last night… it is amazing what people can do in such a short amount of time - and with the motivation to do it.
I saw the show, those guys did a great job. I only wish they would count change in body fat and not total weight. Some of those guys had been in the gym and I am sure lost a very high percentage of BF but the total weight number doesn’t reflect that very well. I also thought this years game playing got a bit silly with people intentionally losing weight to play the “game”
I love that show. What amazes me is the fact that someone can be such a sloth to allow themselves to become morbidly obese and then have the drive (albeit driven by the $250K) to work out and lose enormous amounts of weight. To go from a 407 lb circus freak to a 190 lb stud is unbelievable.
I’m sure some of them will go back to their old ways and gain it back (Like Kai, I bet), but it looks like a lot of them will have permanently changed their lifestyles for the better. Very cool show. (But what’s with Caroline Rhea as the host? I don’t get it…)

it’s funny in the beginning of the show Caroline looks great next to the contestants. then at the finale, she looks way out of shape in comparison. i’m a fan of hers–i like her on the show as she is a real person, and has a genuine personality.

Oops! I was just about to rip her over her weight, particularly being the host of that kind of show. When I saw her I thought “Shatner! What has happened to you!”
