Biggest/leak free/keep cold bike bottles

Who makes the most oz’s to fit in a standard cage? Best at keeping drinks cool? Best lid/seal/anti-leak over long term?

When ya mix all 3 requirements whats the best? So tired of leaky bottles most of all:(

Polar insulated 24 oz? It’s one of the few I have yet to try.

I like the Polar 24oz bottle (and 20oz bottles). I haven’t had leaking issues with it. For best results, I freeze the bottle and contents the night before I use. The bottle has a tighter fit with most cages I use but I don’t any issues with that (e.g. standard bottles coming out). The plus is that I can color coordinate the bottle to my bike.

I have experience with the Polar 24 oz bottles. They are good bottles. They keep things cooler than regular bottles and they don’t leak if you crank down on the lid (it can seem like it is tight before it is tight, don’t be fooled).

I also have experience with the Camelbak 20oz bottles. The Camelbak’s keep drinks cooler, and the twisting valve is nice. The shape, however, is not compatible with all bottle cages (no indent for the protrusion from the back of the cage to go into).

I understand Camelbak now has a 25oz bottle. I believe it will have the same shape issues. So, if it will stay in your cage, and you don’t mind the twist to open feature, Camelbak, otherwise, Polar.

I have really grown to like the Camelbak bottles, especially because of their valve.

I end up with the 20 ounce bottles, because the bigger version gets too long for my between-the-aero-bars setup - the taller bottle makes it hard for me to get my hands on the bars. I don’t use a frame-mounted cage anymore, but I had a hard time getting the taller bottles out of it on my bike. I think X-Lab makes a cage designed to help this.
