I remember seeing an interview with a guy who was doing the monitoring for a similar program, he was pretty casual about watching kids through the webcams. He was like, they use the cameras as a mirror to brush their hair or do their make up, haha, I like to mess with them by taking a picture of them, haha. If only they knew they were being watched, haha.

The blog says students will be “forced” to wear them. The source article says parental consent will be required. A bit sensationalized. I don’t find it that creepy. The remote activated webcams however are way over the line.

Meh. It’s a pedometer/HR monitor? Not like it’s a home arrest tracking anklet or even a GPS watch. Having the gym teacher tracking their HR while they are at home masturbating or whatever is a bit creepy though:P.
I grew up pretty close to that school district. Ran against their high schools in cross country.
