I almost never even look at the cover of Bicycling, let alone pick it up and read it. I don’t know what possessed me to look at this month’s edition, but I did pick it up and browse through it. Much to my surprise, I noticed that they had printed an article on a tour around the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The author says that the Cabot Trail is the best ride in North America. I would tend to agree; it is simply stunning. And it is only a 4 hour drive from my house! Maximum elevation is only about 1750 feet, but there are 17 percent grades to get up there. This will be my training camp destination next year.
The article was a little boring I thought, but it does sound like a great place to ride. That’s slick you’re so close.
I missed that issue, but will look for it. Did anyone catch the group rides article? That was great, lots of research. I believe that was the July issue.
Yeah, the article put that route on my life-time “to do” list…
