Bicycle Advocacy Work in Madison

I saw this want-ad in a newsletter from the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin and thought maybe some Madison-area (or wannabe Madison-area) ST’ers might be interested: http://www.bfw.org/about/job%20announcements.php

The job is Deputy Executive Director responsible for Madison. The BFW describes itself as “a statewide membership-based nonprofit bicycle education and advocacy organization. We strive to Make Wisconsin a Better Place to Bicycle by empowering citizens to build communities where bicyclists are safe to ride the roads and trails. The Bicycle Federation and our members educate decision makers, motorists, and other bicyclists to the transportation and safety issues and environmental, health, and economic benefits of bicycling. We promote bicycling as an integral part of a balanced transportation system, a healthy and fun lifestyle, and a prosperous economy.”

Disclosures: I’m a dues-paying member of the BFW but I was not asked to post this. I don’t have any other info about the job or working at the BFW beyond what is on the website.
