Beware: New Advertising Players in the Triathlet Market

Did you mean to respond to me? I wasn’t criticizing anyone for anything (other than using the word “hell” a lot…lol).

This looks like nutritional info to me:

Not evaluated by the FDA I don’t believe, but nutritional information none the less.

Not at all. I was just commenting to the Triathlon community at large.

yes but it ain’t NO Xplode. Either you copied wrong label or just trying to flame things up.
Where the hell you have 41.7 grams of protein in NO Xplode???
I am ONLY commenting on NO Xplode and it’s wrong marketing.

No, the nutritional info is of little use with these products because the key ingredients are not among those required to be listed.

What is of value is the list of ingredients and the order they are in.

Here is the correct one:
http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=158211&catid=532
.

Whio frickin cares? I mean, Zoot had an ad that pointed you to their website to look at the new SPring 2008 do-dads, but they aren’t up yet. This means I’ll have to go back to the site again and again to see if they are…If you went to the GENR8 website or looked into it, the ad did its job.

Bob

Thats nothing, Newton sells below cost. Tim

The top one is NO Xplode, the bottom one is GENER8

NO Xplode has 0g protien, 7g carb, 0g fat.

I’m not trying to flame anything.

“No, the nutritional info is of little use with these products because the key ingredients are not among those required to be listed”

He asked for nutritional info, not key ingredients, so I gave nutritional info. Here are “black’s” exact words: " Do you see any NUTRITIONAL thing there? Bunch of supplement info thats all". So I provided NUTRITIONAL THINGS, had he asked for ingredients, I would have posted them as well.

I don’t take any of this shit, I’m just giving information that people are asking for.

“What is of value is the list of ingredients and the order they are in”

Here ya go:

NO Xplode

I love NO-EXPLODE. Since the offseason started I’ve been focusing on adding strength, and the NO-EXPLODE has definately made strength gains easier! I’ve got several people at work turned on to it, and they love it too. I even use their cellmass for after the workouts. I realize that bench pressing 300 pounds isn’t important to most triathletes, but it sure is fun to do it reguardless!

I posted exactly that. Here is what I originally posted:

Here is what you linked us to:

Look a bit closer before trying to call me out and tell me I am trying to flame someone, those look PRETTY DAMN SIMILAR TO ME.

Hell, how many of us walk around with our race t-shirts and other paraphernalia to show the world that we’re triathletes? Pretty narcissistic as far as I’m concerned.

I wear race t-shirts because I wear t-shirts, and with as many MTB, adventure race, running, century, and tri shirts as I have, there's NO way I'd pay for a t-shirt just because it has no writing or whatever. That said, I do have a problem wearing my one IM shirt, and hat (wore the shirt once since IMLou). It just FEELS like bragging, maybe because I'm on Slowtwitch too much, and there are lots of folks that seem to have the bulk of their self esteem tied to the achievement. Reality is, most people in the real world probably don't care about any of this, and thinking they do is merely further egoism.

OK, I understand that. I am saying the difference is NUTRITIONAL vs SUPPLEMENT (labelling)
Not the values, yes they are the same but it is not a nutritional product, it is a supplement thats what I am trying to say.

Now stop using the NO Xplode for 3 days go back to gym and try that again.

yeah, like I said before. Look at ingredients for these kinds of things. The nutritional information is largely irrelevant (aside from the large amount of B variants).

Unfortunately, it doesn’t tell you how much of each ingredient is in there.

I wear my shirts around as well. I’m just pointing out that we’re all guilty of narcissism to some degree. I have no problems with that in itself. I think it’s healthy. Otherwise, we’d all be fat and sitting on the couch right now. I just take issue when people allude to one sport being superior to another.

Bottom line for me:

If I drank some of this stuff before a race do you think I’d go any faster?

Depends on what you mean, The gf and I shared a can of (race bag complementary) “Crunk” energy drink on the way to a race once. Within a couple of minutes we were both looking for an off-ramp and the nearest, hopefully clean, restroom.

I understand you completely, I feel the same way when Chiropractors try to pass themselves as Doctors.
