Best wheel to cover for price and performance

Currently I am using a Rolf Vector Pro, but am thinking of “liberating it” from the cover to use in road racing…maybe.
Since the thing is going to be covered to me, it makes no sense to use a deep dish wheel, just something that is not too heavy and that has a solid hub.
Thoughts/comments?
(I’ve always wondered WHY folks would by an 808 and then put a cover on it)

A rim thats greater or equal to 23mm wide and 27mm deep.

Kinlin as well as some others have rims like that.

Ummm, have you heard that you can just take the cover off for road racing and then put it back on for tri/tts?

As to buying an 808 and cover, these people might race with a disc, then race Cozumel or Kona where they can take the cover off and still have a hella fast wheel.

Yeah, I guess but not many people in the big scheme of things do them. And for those who do, I suspect they have 808s and full discs.
