Best way to ship wheels?

I have to ship some race wheels to a friend using fed ex or ups. What is the best way to package carbon wheels??? I am guessing bubble wrap and a good box… Thanks for any help.

Yes…the LBS should be able to GIVE you a box. On a rare occassion, they might try to charge you.

There are “okay” boxes (Zipp) and then there are kick ass boxes (Don’t know the name, but I have a few with Litespeed branding on them). The nice ones are basically the size of a frame/bike box, and each wheel is separately packaged.

But, the Zipp box works well when/if you are worried about damage…as it pretty clear whether the box got kicked around.

Just called and they are putting one aside for me to pick this afternoon. Not sure what “brand” it is though… Thanks again.
