the munsters

Dukes of Hazzard

I loved Hawaii 5-0, especially the opening sequence, Mod Squad was another great show from that era that also had a cool theme song.

**the freaky Puffinstuff witch… I never liked that show. **

Lady, have I ever told you that you have class?

Glad you posted that - it really is a wicked piece of sax work - I can live without BH comedy - but the theme is not bad.

Now to see what the French (or at least Quebecois) can do with a sax theme - go here - http://www.videosift.com/video/Man-impersonates-pink-panther-saxophone - love this guy - saw him at Just for laughs in montreal in the mid 80s

ahhh the memories

A couple I don’t think have been mentioned yet: The Prisoner (really captures the off-kilter nature of the series) and The Equalizer.

OK - I officially adore you - I have the entire Prisoner series on DVD, and worse yet, have seriously raced in a lotus 7. I figured the theme would be a bit too obscure for many - but what am I to do with you now??

Courtship of Eddie’s Father was a great one.

also LOVE AMERICAN STYLE

The theme from “Scrubs,” “I’m no Superman…”
Short and sweet. Leaves more time for the plot.

Runner up: The theme from “Doogie Howser, MD.”
“Simlicity is the ultimate sophistication.” -Leonardo DaVinci

Lets just say I’m shocked that I’m the first to post Suicide is Painless - MAS*H http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euLFD5BklWk&feature=related

…okay, I’ll be honest. I just listened to it for the first time in 20 years. It wasn’t that good.

Pink Panther (cartoon show)
Mr. Ed

What was freaky was rewatching the series after 9-11 and seeing how seamlessly it can go from Cold War to War on Terror symbolism.

I’m cautiously optimistic about the remake. When you’re messing with such an iconic show, you’ve got to be very careful, but they’ve got some very good people involved.
