So i have been racing on TUFO’s for the last several years on my Zipp 909 wheelset. If you consider the number of races most people do (for me somewhere between 5-8 a year depending upon if it is an Ironman year or not), I have had more flat tires than on my training wheels with clinchers. The percentages are WAY against me in terms of time on the tires vs. time on my clinchers considering the thousands of miles i can put on clinchers with no or maybe one flat a year. I am just tired of the flats and while the first two I believe I can chalk up to over inflation (lesson learned don’t push it to the 200 mark like it says it can handle even for the 155 lb frame sitting on the bike), there are other instances that just frustrate me. So i am out here asking for the best tubular race wheels out there b/c I am tired of flats ruining my races. I love the TUFO brand b/c of the tape and ease of installation. I have never had to work with glue before so have always been hesitant about that and the tape is super easy and “clean” vs. the glue, chance of roll off on a sharp corner, etc…
