Adamo Race users, what shorts do you wear? When I switched from a traditional saddle (fizik tri2) to an Adamo Race I noticed that the tri shorts I used to be comfortable riding did not work well with the Adamo. I have a closet full of 2XU, Zoot, Oomph and Craft that I can’t use anymore because the seams are located in the area of my sit bones. The only pair that works well for me is the DeSoto 400 mile shorts and I don’t mind using them for training but I feel they are a bit bulky for racing. Please let me know what works for you.
DeSoto Forza Tri-Short (low-cut)
.
I have a Adamo Typhoon and the DeSoto Forza shorts have served me well for two seasons.
if you like the desoto 400 mile shorts, why not try the forza tri shorts? they fit really similar but without the bulk of a full cycling pad.
3 for 3 on recommending the Forza. I guess I will give them a try. Thanks for the tip.
I have a few different DeSoto that are fine, some old PI, and some other brand all are fine.
Anyone tried the 2XU compression Tri Shorts with the Adamo? No seams either it appears.
I also find the DeSoto Forza shorts work well with the Adamo Race saddle. For some reason, the thinner the pad the better with this saddle.

I have the race saddle and use the DeSoto Carrera Tri Shorts. I’ve done rides up to 60 miles with them and they feel great.
I have some forza 4 pockets shorts and they work great. I have used them with my Adamo for the last 5-6 races and they work great. the new chamois suspension is nice.
I have to give hands down to the chamois from the Craft racing shorts from a few years ago. The shorts aren’t good and the leg grippers hit the middle of my hamstrings and promote cramps, but the chamois is fantastic. I would love to have it in all my bike shorts, as well as my tri shorts.
Orca shorts work well for me with my Adamo Race.
I have only tried the “Orca 226 plus” for a HIM and they worked much better than my regular fleece padings in my Craft and Ironmanwear.

i have exactly the same pb as yours, and needless to say my crotch area is quite messed up w/ the seams…
== for races: i use my trisuit, kiwami amphibian, padless, seamless. http://www.kiwamitri.com/shop/amphibian008-trisuit_6-6.html
== for rides: i’d recommend LG that have the tri air pad (http://www.louisgarneau-custom.com/chamois/index.asp?language=ENG) the pad is thin, yet large on the sides, so when you sit, the sitbone are on the pad, not on the edge/seams.
i was also advised (thanks emilio!) to try desoto forza which i will do soon. also, you might consider the kiwami twinki or turbox. if after trying it you were not happy, just return it and you will be refunded. No questions asked - andre dixit).
== for indoors: my speedos, tucked narrow by the crotch, away from the sitbones ;-), and deliberate use (abuse!) of butt’r.
cheers,

You must have formed elephant skin down there. Speedo’s on the trainer. Very impressive… but also kinda scary…
I did order a pair of the Forza yesterday so I will see how that goes. The LG TriAir pad looks promising. If the Forza does not work for me the LG will be the next short that I will try. Thanks for the tip.
Just wanted to provide a quick update. Got the Forza shorts and they work great with the Race saddle. Thanks everyone for their input.
Ok, I’ve been convinced. I’ll order a pair of the Forza’s asap and let you guys know. 2XU and Pearl is what I’ve been riding.
Good info…I just switched to Adamo and will try the deSoto’s
.
Which one’s did you get? The Forza or the Forza Riviera? For full distance on the Adamo I’m talking about.
Anyone? Forza or the Forza Riviera tri short? Which is better for full distance on the Adamo Saddle?
I’ve used the Adamo saddle for the past year and like it quite a bit, although I did have to get used to the width of it. I use Assos shorts almost exclusively and really like them, but they’re a pretty penny…
Good luck!
