I have some stuff to sell on ebay and I’m wondering if it would make a difference to list the stuff now, or wait until April or May. Any opinions or advice?

Hard to say IMHO. I’m noticing the prices are starting to come up again a bit, but they should be higher in April/May. The only problem is that there is more competition by vendors in the nice weather. Depends on what you’re selling. If it’s a more unique item it may be better to wait and get maximum buck. If it’s something generic selling now might be as good a time as any.
…i’m convinced you can sell anything at anytime on ebay.
Just list it, with a good title, description, pictures and a fair starting price and you’ll sell it…
None of it is very unique…got the wife a new bike last year and swapped half the parts from the original over. So just a frame, drivetrain, etc.
I’m sure I can sell the drivetrain pretty easily, but I’m also wondering if I should just keep things like the stem and seat post on the frame, as I’m not too sure how these will sell individually, and might help sell the frame. any thoughts?

may, when people have to have it for a race, didn’t order it, and the lbs doesn’t stock it … stuff is cheap right now … best time to buy, imo … is between xmas and newyears … nobody’s at work, so nobody’s on their computer.
It seems to me like there was a big spike in ebay sales right after the race season, when most people were done with races but still were hyped about the sport, or doing end of year maintenance on the bike. I’d say that the beginning of the season is best (march-sprilish) followed by September-Oct.
You could sell the drivetrain now, but the frame might have to wait for the higher volume season. (Unless it is some really sweet frame that by it’s very nature will allure many purchasers.)
I’ve been looking hard for good deals on ebay for two of my friends. In the last two weeks, people have started bidding much stonger than a month ago. it’s a seller’s market now… go for it. Maybe wait another three weeks.
