Any suggestions? Also, where do you think the best place to buy the tires online?
Thanks.

Tufo S3 lite 21mm. i think everyone on the forum will agree that when this tire is taped on, it is faster than anything out there.
to be more serious, i really like vittoria or conti tubulars. I don’t think you need anything smaller than a 20 or 21mm, but do what you want. a vittoria corsa evo cx in a 21 or 22. ooh laa laa. decent tread for all conditions, and a fast tire. as far as online, i think biketiresdirect has vittoria. shop around, tires are insanely cheap online.
The most expensive tire you can find.
Andi t should match your front tire, too.
Check out the ‘Zipp tires’ thread above, but basically the Zipp tire was developed and designed to be the fastest possible tire with the Zipp disc.

Having said, that there are numerous very nice 20-21mm tires out there which will work very well with the disc, but I would shy away from tires more narrow that 20 or wider than 21 on the disc, and as we’ve said before, superlight, paper thin tires that weigh nothing are great for track racing, and possibly short TT’s, but no tire in the world could possibly be fast enough or light enough to make up for a flat or other problem in your event, as proven by Phonak at the Tour last year, losing the TTT after deciding at the last minute to run superlight 18mm track tires (which aerodynamically are worse than a 20 or 21mm tires on our wheels anyway) only to be caught out in heavy rain and poor road conditions resuling in 4 flat tires from which there was no possibility of winning the event.
Only $80?
I’m a bit dissapointed (this is coming from someone who can’t even afford one Zipp wheel, let alone a set with tires.)
If you are going to make wheels that start at $1500, why not go all out and make a super $150 tire that has Zipp, CSC, or Phonac woven right into it?
You make “Lamborghini” wheels, why not make “Lamborghini” tires?
I use Conti Competitions. They’re the most expensive so I figure they must be the best right?
I agree with Josh…I love my Zipp wheels (808) with Zipp tires!
