Can I get some advice here? I’m bringing my wife and son and would like to find a place that is within walking distance of all of the race attractions and course.

i rented an RV. drove to Sedona and Grand Canyon the week before and stayed in the ASU parking lot for the race. the parking lot is a short walk to the transition area, situated between the bike road and the run path (the run path is along the lake, so it also is a few yards from the swim course).
and i was not alone doing this, there were several others in the lot. nobody minded.
